My IGSCE result in art is one of the key makings of my future and weather or not i am capable of continuing art ...it all amounts to my IGCSE result! so yeah, fingers crossed that i get good results = have to wait till august!! ahhh!

On Monday in art class we were given our official exam question, our choice between two actually...either the interpretive or observational question. I'm going for interpretive...there was a list of themes to choose from and as usual I'm the only on to pick the most wacky and non-obvious one . you could choose from 'in the night', 'compression', 'the old and new', 'the wheel of fortune', 'zig-zag' or 'a secret place'....YUP, I've chosen "zig-zag".
I want to do something that involves my heritage- because I'm Samoan, and no one in my art class is Samoan and i doubt that the examiner i send my art exam to in England is Samoan either. So I'm using my cultural influence as an advantage...hopefully.
now the tricky part, how do i incorporate my Samoan side with the theme Zig-zag??
still thinking...:slow:
let me know if you've got any ideas guys! happy to hear it ( even if you don't know anything about Samoa)

abstract photography...i gave it a shot.

a few weeks ago i was dead tired of drawing and so amazed by the power my nokia camera had over me, i was addicted to taking photos. The addiction was so strong i decided to play around with my mothers stationary to get arty and abstract pictures by zooming in on anything that looked remotely interesting. i think that i was just, bored. but i really enjoyed the freedom of taking small snap shots of my surroundings. Rather than always planning and researching and planing some more like i do in my art class before a final work i could just sit and 'click' away freely creating small so called masterpieces out of ordinary bits of stationary. ahhh bliss.
